Timely and relevant information: Roland has created and maintains the Swiss Alliance website, regularly provides updates on social media and has been the editor of the Regional News Oceania pages of the ‘Swiss Review’ for eight years.

Linking and networking: Organising events such as the biannual Oceania Swiss Club Presidents Conference is just one initiative that brings the community together.

Supporting Future Generations: Partake in events such as the Jungbürgerfeier. Engaging younger Swiss citizens in Australia, fostering a sense of identity and connection to their heritage.

What Roland brings to the Council of the Swiss Abroad
As a member of the incumbent CSA-team Roland is proud of what has been accomplished – the building and maintaining of networks for information exchange being one of the most important achievements.
He is eager to continue on that path, strengthening connections and relationships, whether it be face-to-face, on social media or through his role as local editor of the ‘Swiss Review’.

Roland calls Australia home, but Switzerland will always remain ‘Heimat’. Engaging in the Swiss Community in Australia brings the two together. His experience as an expatriate for over four decades has made him a passionate champion and effective representative of the Swiss Abroad.

Roland Isler is a valued member of the Swiss Community in Melbourne. Former President of the Swiss Club of Victoria, editor of the Oceania pages of the Swiss Revue, elected council member of the Organisation of the Swiss Abroad and Committee member of the Swiss Society in Victoria, Roland has always been totally committed in supporting our Swiss diaspora.
Since I took up the role of Honorary Consul of Switzerland in Victoria 9 years ago, we have worked together on many projects and I have always valued his dedication and drive. There are few Swiss who recognise the pulse of our compatriots and understand the diaspora so completely.
